Percussion is the heartbeat of music. Can you imagine your favorite band without a drummer, a marching band with no drum line or even a symphony orchestra without the booming timpani or crashing cymbals? Drums and percussion instruments drive the rhythm and provide the pulse.
At Westwood Music Studios, students will learn the rudiments of drumming, stick control, and the elements of rhythm, along with learning to play along with their favorite songs. Lessons are also offered on the bell kit.
Our drum students also have the opportunity to play in our Rock Band Program and perform locally.
