Piano

Piano is a perfect instrument to begin your musical journey on, whether you’re a very young beginner, an older adult, or anyone in between.

What makes piano ideal for all is that the keyboard is clearly laid out in front of you. The keys are very easy to press down and they always create a nice, clear sound, which is very rewarding, especially for young children.

Through the study of piano, one learns not only melody and rhythm, but also harmony. When two or more keys are played at once, their combined sounds resonate together, producing what is known in music as harmony. For this reason, playing a song on the piano sounds full, like a mini orchestra, creating a sense of satisfaction and completeness.

At Westwood Music Studios piano students will learn proper technique, note reading, music theory, music history, and musicianship. Lessons are carefully tailored to each individual’s learning style, and students are encouraged to play songs they enjoy as part of the learning process.

Students will have the opportunity to perform in two piano recitals a year, where they can showcase their accomplishments to family and friends.
