Guitar lessons are offered on all styles, including classical, jazz, blues, fingerstyle, and rock. Proper physical technique is emphasized because that makes the difference between struggling with the instrument and enjoying playing it. Bass guitar lessons are also offered.
Guitar is a harmony instrument, one that can play multiple notes at once, so it is fun whether played alone or with others.
We recommend a student be at least seven years old, when they have the strength and physical ability to handle the instrument. For younger students, we suggest starting on the ukulele from which they can transition to guitar when they are ready.
Westwood Music Studios owner, Vinnie Musco, holds a degree in classical guitar performance and studied with renowned guitarist Jerry Willard. Our other guitar faculty members also have degrees in guitar and are serious, accomplished professionals with a passion for teaching.
